What's new (May 1 update)

As a buyer, you will now after 1 hour have the possibility to cancel the trade, if the seller has not accepted it yet. Once the seller accepts the trade, you can no longer cancel it, and it continues as previously. The seller has 18 hours to accept and send the trade offer.

If the seller does not accept, and 18 hours surpass the trade will be canceled and the seller will get banned (our normal banning rules are back in place).

When the seller has indicated that items are delivered, the buyer now has 18 hours to confirm having received the item(s) or dispute the trade if something is wrong.

Why did we make this update?
We’ve reduced the confirmation windows from 24 hours to 18 hours to speed up the process for everyone.

A cancellation button has been added for buyers to cancel a trade if the seller is unresponsive.

Happy trading!

TL;DR

  • Reduced confirmation window for both seller and buyer from 24 hours to 18 hours.

  • Sellers now have to accept a sale before they deliver it.

  • Buyers can now cancel a purchase after 1 hour if the seller has not accepted it.

The new P2P System

🛍️ Buyers:

  1. Find and select the item(s) that you wish to purchase, and go to checkout.

  2. Select your payment method, and complete the checkout.

  3. Once you have paid, GamerPay will keep your money safe until the trade has been settled.

  4. The seller will be notified directly via GamerPay to send you a Steam trade offer with the item(s) you have purchased.

    1. You may cancel the trade after 1 hour if the seller has not accepted it on GamerPay yet.

  5. Once the seller has marked the trade offer as sent, you will be notified by us via mail and SMS (if enabled). Once you are notified, go to the GamerPay website.

  6. Open the trade offer through GamerPay, and ensure that the seller has sent you the right item(s).

    1. If the item(s) are correct, accept the trade offer on Steam and press "Confirm traded offer accepted" on GamerPay to finalize the trade.

    2. If there are any issues; the seller sent the wrong item(s), or no offer at all, press "Start dispute". The trade will be put on hold while our support team investigates.

IMPORTANT: You have 18 hours to either confirm or dispute a trade after the seller has marked the trade offer as sent. Failure to react within 18 hours will result in the funds being released to the seller and the trade will be marked as completed, and this might lead to money loss.

💰 Sellers:

  1. List your item(s) on the GamerPay marketplace.

  2. We will notify you via GamerPay, mail and SMS (if enabled) when you've made a sale. Once you are notified, go to the GamerPay website.

  3. Open the sale under your Trades and press "Accept trade". Failure to accept a trade will result in a seller ban.

    1. If you have not accepted the trade within 1 hour, the buyer may cancel the trade and get a refund.

  4. Press "Create trade offer on Steam". Make sure you select the correct item(s) and send the trade offer to the buyer.

    1. Make sure to confirm the offer on your Steam mobile app as well.

  5. Once the trade offer has been sent, confirm this by pressing "Trade offer sent on Steam" on GamerPay to notify the buyer.

  6. The buyer will have 18 hours to confirm that they have accepted the trade offer. Once the buyer confirms, or if 18 hours have passed without the buyer reacting, the funds will go to your GamerPay balance. If the buyer starts a dispute, the trade will be put on hold while our support team investigates.

IMPORTANT: You should always deliver a sale on GamerPay to avoid a temporary seller ban. If you mark a trade offer as sent without you sending it, you may be permanently banned from GamerPay.
